Shimano Gran Fondo
Sunday, August 27, 2017 @ 427 Pido Road, Peterborough, Ontario, K9J 6X7

Welcome to the Shimano Gran Fondo landing page.

Registration for the 2017 Shimano Gran Fondo is now closed. We are absolutely thrilled with the support from everyone who registered. This year, the Shimano Gran Fondo has doubled in size and we will be hard at work over the next two months building the event and of course everyone's entry package.

Below please find course information and our provisional schedule. The final technical document we are in the midst of drafting and it will be available soon.

In the coming weeks we will also be announcing our partners for this year and more!

The Courses |

Both courses were designed by Wild Rock Outfitter's Kieran Andrews and they are sensational.

The 102

The 102km course is a little less challenging when compared to last year's 115km course. We will have two designated rest stations where riders can refill water, eat food and re-group. We will also have follow vehicles just like last year and two ride leaders per group. The idea is to have a little more relaxed course that will allow the groups to stay together.

The 143

The 143km Course shares many of the same roads as the 102, however we have thrown in a few more climbs. That being said - this course is intended to encourage riders to try new roads and distances. We will have two groups, a faster and slower group, full support via follow vehicles, designated ride leaders and three rest stations out on course to re-group.

The specific detailed logistics of the day will be finalized soon in our technical guide. Below are the basic details we have provisionally planned for Sunday, August 27. For those heading out on the longer course, we will have registration set up at Wild Rock Outfitters in Peterborough on Saturday, August 26 - riders will be able to go to the store to pick up their packages a day in advance. We will also have everything ready for pick up the day of as well.

Finally - we will send out a questionnaire early in August. From there we will curate and build each respective group. Our goal will be to ensure everyone has the best experience possible and ride the course they'd like to.
